Round Valley PBA (Mendocino County)

Round Valley PBA is based in Covelo, CA as a community group focused on using fire as a tool to manage our landscapes for fire prevention, especially in the aftermath of the catastrophic 2020 August Fire.

Many areas in the mountains surrounding Round Valley are in regrowth and still have dead standing timber leaving huge risk of more extreme wildfire what will likely be even more destructive. We believe planned fire is the most feasible way to prevent further damage to the landscape and protect our homes and infrastructure.

As Round Valley is home to the Round Valley Indian Tribes and the original lands of the Yuki people, as well as the Wylacki in our surrounding hills, we are blessed to have active participation from Tribal members looking to reintroduce culture fire practices.
