Burn Planning Workshop


The Watershed Research and Training Center is hosting a 2-day burn planning workshop in Hayfork, California.

Saturday, July 6th - 9 am - 3 pm

Sunday, July 7th - 9 am - 3 pm

*This workshop may be subject to rescheduling if there is low registration*

During this two day hands-on workshop, participants will learn the basics of burn planning, using the California Standardized Burn Plan Template.  The workshop will be held at a future Hayfork burn unit (location TBD), with knowledge sharing from everyone involved.  Participants will work together on outlining a burn plan for the unit, and will leave the workshop with a better understanding of how to develop burn plans. 

Optional, but strongly recommended, pre-work will be made available prior to the workshop, and additional burn planning resources will be shared with the group.
