California State-Certified Burn Boss (CARX) class

Logistics: The 40-hour CARX class will take place in Chico the week of November 3. Applications will open soon—email me to be added to my outreach list (if you're not already on my list). Note: DO NOT apply directly to State Fire Training. Application materials will be submitted to Phil Dye, the Lead Instructor, and he will review materials before submitting to SFT for formal review and approval. I will use grant funds to cover course and certification costs; students will be responsible for their own travel and salary costs. The course will be capped at 24 students. 

Prerequisites: In order to take the CARX course, you must meet the program prerequisites. Check out the CARX flyer, which summarizes the prerequisites and benefits of the certification. You will document your prerequisites and share any equivalency information in your application.
